Case study: Assembly and transportation of transformers using hydraulic gantry.

Available for various operations throughout the manufacturing process! Introducing cases where cost-effectiveness has improved.

Tadeo Czerweny, a global company based in Argentina specializing in the power conversion market, was looking for solutions after deciding to expand its manufacturing capacity and produce larger transformers. The immediate need was to vertically lift a heavy platform structure used to assemble the transformer core and transport large transformers within the factory. As a solution, they chose the SBL1100 hydraulic gantry series. This provides more precise and controlled movements compared to using a ceiling crane, and this flexibility allows it to be used in various operations throughout the manufacturing process. 【Case Overview】 ■Customer: Tadeo Czerweny (Argentina) ■Product: SBL1100 Hydraulic Gantry ■Result: With one piece of equipment, they can perform programmed lifting and positioning of heavy loads at various points in the factory, resulting in cost-effectiveness. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case: Accurately lifting and positioning a 160-ton automotive press.

Arrangement with a tolerance of just a few millimeters! Introducing a case where a press can be operated in three dimensions.

As manufacturers optimize production while keeping factories as compact as possible to reduce processing time, the dynamics of the industry are becoming increasingly complex. LASO Transportes AS, a large lift and transport specialist in Portugal, used a combination of the Enerpac SBL500 telescopic hydraulic gantry and side shift to accurately position two presses weighing up to 160 tons. "We were able to operate the presses in three dimensions using the Enerpac side shift. Without it, accurately positioning the presses would have been very difficult," they stated. [Case Summary] ■ Customer: LASO Transportes AS (Portugal) ■ Product: SBL500 hydraulic gantry, gantry side shift accessory ■ Result: Successfully lifted the automotive presses and positioned them in three dimensions to align with the reinforced concrete platform. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case: Removing a large diameter reamer with the SL100 hydraulic gantry system.

Provides excellent safety and control by removing employees from the shaft area during the reamer lift!

The removal of raise bore reamers has generally been a dangerous, complex, time-consuming, and costly process. For this reason, PYBAR Mining Services, a specialist in underground mining, understood the need to develop a safe working method for removing large-diameter reamers in an underground mining environment. Thus, the "Enerpac SL100 Hydraulic Gantry System" was used. The hydraulic gantry provides a safe and efficient way to lift and position heavy loads. It is placed on a skid track and offers means for moving and positioning heavy items. With a maximum lifting capacity of 110 tons, it is remotely operated using the Intellilift wireless control system, which is included with all Enerpac hydraulic gantries. Once the reamer is lifted from the shaft, it is pulled away from the open shaft, and a hole cover is placed over it to create a safe working area. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Case Study: Assembly of Offshore Platform Oil Rig Modules

The weight of each module exceeds 700 tons! An example of placement using the SBL1100 gantry.

Petrobras is constructing a new offshore oil platform for oil fields in the Santos Basin off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. Jaragua Equipamentos has been tasked with assembling four modules during the construction of the oil rig. Each module weighs over 700 tons and requires precise lifting and alignment during assembly. To achieve this, the company used the SBL1100 gantry to lift and position each module. By utilizing this product to assemble the oil rig, an efficient and safe solution was realized that allows for the precise positioning of loads weighing 700 tons. [Case Summary] ■ Customer: Jaragua Equipamentos (Brazil) ■ Product: SBL1100 Hydraulic Gantry ■ Result: An efficient and safe solution that allows for the precise positioning of loads weighing 700 tons. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case: Provides excellent safety and flexibility for transporting heavy loads.

Improved safety through more precise and controlled movements! Case study of a telescopic hydraulic gantry.

Transformers, turbines, generators, and other heavy loads often require operation, installation, or replacement on foundations during the construction, maintenance, repair, and shutdown of new buildings. To respond to tight schedules while prioritizing safety when lifting and positioning heavy loads, efficient solutions are necessary. Yew Choon Pte Ltd/Yew Choon Technology, which provides transportation services, owns the Enerpac SBL1100 hydraulic gantry and has additionally purchased the SBL500 hydraulic gantry to enhance flexibility during lifting operations. This product is fully self-contained, with hydraulic and electrical components integrated into all legs. This makes setup easier, reduces the risk of tripping associated with hydraulic hoses, and allows for an unobstructed view of the load. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Case: Transporting a 1,200t hydraulic press to the second floor using a hydraulic gantry.

The weight of the new press is approximately 60 tons, which is about twice that of the existing press! Case study of the SL400 hydraulic gantry.

Before Rangemaster installed the new 1,200-ton ring frame hydraulic press, it was necessary to remove the existing hydraulic double-action press. Additionally, the existing printing machine on the second floor had to be dismantled, lifted, and lowered to be moved to the first floor through some limited spaces. To accomplish this, the SL400 hydraulic gantry was used to lift the crown and base of the existing press onto load skates. Two gantry units that were on the first floor were moved to the second floor, where they lifted the press and transported it to the new foundation. The press was then lifted from a horizontal position to a vertical position and lowered onto the fixing bolts. [Case Overview] ■ Customer: JH Kemp, Rangemaster (UK) ■ Product: SL400 Hydraulic Gantry *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case Study: Construction of Offshore Highways - Challenges in Lifting

The continuous movement of the gantry hoist is achieved by a long-stroke cylinder!

The construction of offshore highways presents many challenges. In particular, it is necessary to lift concrete foundation blocks and accurately position them on the seabed, place supports, and ultimately assist in connecting to the bridge deck. The type of crane technology suitable for this specific project includes strand jacks or winches for lifting, and skids or trolleys for moving the blocks. We have chosen a trolley system that offers several clear advantages. It allows for continuous movement of the blocks and variable speed, enabling high-speed positioning when lowering the crane. Furthermore, it has very limited maintenance costs compared to skidding systems. [Case Overview] ■ Client: Vinci Construction and Demathieu & Bard Construction (Reunion Island) ■ Product: Hydraulic Gantry *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case: Precisely lifting and positioning with a hydraulic gantry and side shift.

By using the side shift, we can now operate the press in three dimensions!

LASO Transportes AS, a large lift and transport specialist in Portugal, used a combination of the "Enerpac SBL500 telescopic hydraulic gantry" and side shift to accurately position two presses weighing up to 160 tons. At the new factory location, each press was slid into place and rotated on a turntable to face the correct direction for lifting. The presses needed to be placed on a reinforced concrete platform that supported each press and provided a level surface. The company used the "SBL500 gantry" and side shift unit to lift the presses and align them with the platform. "We were able to maneuver the presses in three dimensions using the Enerpac side shift. Without it, accurately positioning the presses would have been very difficult," was the feedback received. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
